a few words

Safety comes first

The sea around the Faroe Islands can change quickly, so every trip starts with one thing in mind: safety.
‍
Our skipper makes the final decision on whether conditions are suitable to sail. If the weather or sea is not right, we may change the route, delay the trip or cancel altogether. We would rather disappoint you on land than take unnecessary chances at sea.

On board, we keep things simple and clear. Safety equipment is available for everyone, and you’ll receive the information you need before departure. During the trip, we ask all guests to follow the skipper’s instructions and let us know if there is anything we should be aware of.

Our Targa 37 is a solid, comfortable boat built for Nordic conditions, but the sea still deserves respect. Dress warmly, bring waterproof clothing and be prepared for a little spray.

We want you to enjoy the trip — and feel safe from the moment we leave Sandavágur until we are back in harbour.

Safety and what to bring

The boat is licensed for twelve passengers and inspected annually. The skipper holds a commercial certificate and the North Atlantic can turn quickly, so the call on whether we sail is made each morning.
