SILVITNI
Á Sondum 9

Faroe Islands

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tours and private charters booked with SILVITNI.

1. Booking and Payment

A booking is considered confirmed once payment has been completed and a booking confirmation has been issued.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all information provided during the booking process is correct.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

Customers may cancel their booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time and receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend your booked tour, please contact SILVITNI as soon as possible.

3. Changes to Your Booking

If you wish to change the date or time of your booking, please contact us as early as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
‍

4. Cancellation or Changes by SILVITNI

Safety always comes first.

SILVITNI reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change a tour due to weather, sea conditions, technical issues or other circumstances that may affect the safety or operation of the tour.

If SILVITNI cancels a tour, customers will be offered either:

  • A new departure date or time; or
  • A full refund.

If a departure time needs to be changed, we will contact affected customers as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Weather and Sea Conditions

Boat tours in the Faroe Islands are dependent on weather and sea conditions.
Conditions can change quickly, and the final decision on whether a tour can safely operate is made by the skipper.
SILVITNI may adjust the route, duration or itinerary of a tour when necessary due to weather, sea conditions or safety considerations.
A change of route that does not result in cancellation of the tour does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

6. Customer Communication

We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed about cancellations, delays or significant changes to their booking.
Communication may take place by email, telephone or text message using the contact details provided when the booking was made.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for checking messages before departure.

7. Force Majeure

SILVITNI shall not be liable for failure to provide a tour where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

  • Severe weather or sea conditions
  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Harbour or maritime restrictions
  • Civil unrest
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Emergencies or other unforeseen events

Where possible, SILVITNI will offer an alternative departure or reschedule the booking.

If SILVITNI is unable to provide the booked tour or a suitable alternative, the customer will be entitled to a full refund.

8. Refunds

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method used when making the booking.
Please allow reasonable processing time for the refund to appear in your account. Processing times may also depend on your bank or payment provider.
If the customer accepts a replacement departure instead of a refund, no additional refund will be issued for the original booking.

9. Safety on Board

Passengers must follow all instructions given by the skipper and crew.

SILVITNI reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate participation in a tour if a passenger behaves in a way that may endanger themselves, other passengers, the crew or the vessel.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
Life jackets and required safety equipment will be provided on board.

10. Personal Belongings

Passengers are responsible for their own personal belongings during the tour.

SILVITNI cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings unless caused by negligence on our part.

11. Private Charters

Additional arrangements may apply to private charters, customised tours and special bookings.
Any specific terms agreed in writing as part of a private charter booking will take precedence over the general terms above where they differ.
